Expecting a baby? Having a Doula is beneficial for both you and your partner during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. A Doula is your personal resource for all things birth and baby. I will work with you one on one in developing a birth plan and to answer any questions you may have along the way.  As your Doula I work only for you and your partner, not the hospital. As a part of my Doula services I give your partner labor support tools, such as the **Rebozo so they can take an active and confident role in the labor process. I will also be at your labor offering support and working with your partner as a team to help keep you relaxed, comfortable and cared for.
It doesn't matter if you are planning a natural birth, medicated birth, home birth, scheduled cesarean or VBAC, I offer options to support all Mamas. Please contact me for more details.

Pregnancy Massage

Growing a human is serious business!  A mothers body goes through many physical and emotional changes during this magical and sometimes stressful time.  Allow  pregnancy massage to help mama feel relaxed and confident as she prepares for birth and baby.
(Home visits are available for pregnancy massage. Please contact me for more details)

Postpartum Massage

You just spent 9 months growing a human, gave birth and are now swimming in the lakes of motherhood. After all that hard work mama could sure use a massage. Though it often may seem difficult to fit into a busy schedule, postpartum massage therapy is one of the MOST beneficial things a new mom can do for herself, often allowing her a speedier recovery from childbirth and a quicker and more thorough return of her body to its’ pre-pregnant state. Did you have a cesarean birth? Massage also promotes the healing and breakdown of scar tissue.

A mom who takes regular care of herself through massage is also better able to care for her baby, because she is in a better state of health— both physically and mentally. When the mother feels good herself, it is easier to meet the needs of her newborn.

(Please feel free to bring your baby with you to your appointment. Baby can be safely postioned with you on the massage table and can also nurse without interrupting your massage. Home visits are also available for postpartum massage. Please contact me for more details)

Theraputic/Medical Massage

This type of massage therapy treatment is used to address any acute or chronic muscular injuries and discomforts.  Compared to  a relaxation or swedish massage treatment, a medical/therapeutic massage treatment focuses on a particular problem area. (for example a rotator cuff or low back issue) Deep tissue techniques along with stretching are often used during treatment. Depending on the serverity of a muscular  issue, weekly or bi-weekly treatments may be reccomended.

*Labor Induction Chair Massage

*Labor Induction Massage is not guaranteed to induce labor*

Labor Induction Massage is for expectant mothers who are at 40+ weeks gestation. This massage is performed with client clothed and sitting in the massage chair. Labor Inducing accupressure points on clients, feet, hands and back are addressed along with a general relaxation massage at the end. The mothers partner or spouse is also welcomed and encouraged to attend this treatment.

**Rebozo Workshops

imageA Rebozo is a long Mexican Shawl that has been used not only in fashion, but in labor support by Mexican women for centuries. This beautiful piece of traditional fabric is used for relieving muscle tension and relaxation during pregnancy, labor and postpartum.
Showing your Partner how to use the Rebozo will give him/her a tool to have the confidence to take an active and supportive role in your pregnancy and during the birth of your baby.

The Rebozo is a wonderful body saving tool when applying counter pressure during contractions and it can also be used postpartum for relaxation, to bind Mamas Belly and as a size 2 wrap for wearing baby.

I offer a Rebozo for Baby: Partner Support for Labor interactive seminar. This class is meant for couples. It's a lot of fun and really a great way for the two of you to bond and connect as you prepare for the arrival of your little one.

Please visit my Events Page on FB to find out about upcoming group classes or contact me directly if you would like a private class.
